[Assignment of the genes of beta-glucuronidase, enolase-2 and phosphoglycerate kinase to chromosomes 7, 12 and X in the Chimpanzee]. 1977

C Cochet, and C Finaz, and N Van Cong, and J Frézal, and J De Grouchy

By cellular hybridization with C11D cells, the following gene assignments to specific chromosomes were demonstrated for the chimpanzee: beta-glucuronidase on chromosome 7, enolase-2 on chromosome 12, and the phosphoglycerate kinase on the X.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D010735 Phosphoglycerate Kinase An enzyme catalyzing the transfer of a phosphate group from 3-phospho-D-glycerate in the presence of ATP to yield 3-phospho-D-glyceroyl phosphate and ADP. EC 2.7.2.3. Kinase, Phosphoglycerate
D010751 Phosphopyruvate Hydratase A hydro-lyase that catalyzes the dehydration of 2-phosphoglycerate to form PHOSPHOENOLPYRUVATE. Several different isoforms of this enzyme exist, each with its own tissue specificity.
