This technique offers immediate fixed partial denture replacement of dentition lost in either an anterior or posterior location. It allows modification of the preextraction tooth or the diagnostic wax-up. Because the provisional restoration is made indirectly, the extraction site is not contaminated. Postoperative comfort and function for the patient is achieved.
