T and B lymphocytes in peripheral blood in anesthesiologic personnel. 1979

J Sobczyk, and J Sobczyk

T and B lymphocytes were determined quantitatively in anesthesiologic personnel by the rosette technique. Percentages of T lymphocytes were diminished, while the lymphatic system of the peripheral blood showed signs of stimulation. The drop in percentages of T lymphocytes was greater in physicians compared with anesthesiologic nurses.

D009609 Nitrous Oxide Nitrogen oxide (N2O). A colorless, odorless gas that is used as an anesthetic and analgesic. D006221 Halothane A nonflammable, halogenated, hydrocarbon anesthetic that provides relatively rapid induction with little or no excitement. Analgesia may not be adequate. NITROUS OXIDE is often given concomitantly. Because halothane may not produce sufficient muscle relaxation, supplemental neuromuscular blocking agents may be required.
