Resin registration for interocclusal records. 1977

H Skurnik

An ideal material for registering interocclusal records should (1) have reproductive accuracy, (2) be easy to handle, (3) offer no resistance to closure during the registration, (4) be rigid when set, and (5) have a fair degree of hardness when set. The acrylic resin, Duralay, has these qualities. Techniques for utilizing Duralay to register interocclusal records for unilateral restorations, bilateral restorations, full-arch restorations, as well as fixed and removable restorations in the same arch have been demonstrated.
