Periodontal dictates for esthetic ceramometal crowns. 1987

R S Stein
Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry.

Periodontal health must be the crucial consideration in any restorative treatment plan. The interaction between the crown and the investing tissue contributes to the health of the gingiva. The dentist must consider the tooth's position, shape, function, and physical state as well as the means by which it is restored, when yielding to the demands of the patient for an improved esthetic appearance.
