A new surgical technique for dislocated posterior chamber intraocular lenses. 1988

We describe a new method for fixation of dislocated posterior chamber lenses. The closed eye technique involves externalizing the haptics through the pars plana and suturing the loops to the scleral wall. There were no complications in our two patients, and the implants have remained well positioned.
