Alternate day corticosteroid causes alternate day hyperglycaemia. 1987

Patients taking alternate day corticosteroid treatment have greater impairment of glucose tolerance on the corticosteroid day than on the alternate day. Allowance for this must be made in the detection and management of diabetes mellitus in these patients.
