[Central hemodynamics and separate renal blood flow in different forms of arterial hypertension]. 1978

A I Kutsenko, and V I Shpil'kin

Separate renal blood flow was studied by the method of dye dilution (euviridine) in catheterization of the renal vessels during angiography. The method and techniques of catheterization of the arteries and veins and the sequence of manipulations in recording certain parameters of common and separate renal hemodynamics are described. The high informativeness of the method is shown and the complications which were encountered are described and discussed. It is noted that study of separate renal hemodynamics, particularly in renovascular hypertension, provides for objective appraisal of the functional state of the kidney both on the side of the stenosis and on the contralteral side.

D006973 Hypertension Persistently high systemic arterial BLOOD PRESSURE. Based on multiple readings (BLOOD PRESSURE DETERMINATION), hypertension is currently defined as when SYSTOLIC PRESSURE is consistently greater than 140 mm Hg or when DIASTOLIC PRESSURE is consistently 90 mm Hg or more. D006978 Hypertension, Renovascular Hypertension due to RENAL ARTERY OBSTRUCTION or compression. Hypertension, Goldblatt,Goldblatt Syndrome,Goldblatt Hypertension,Renovascular Hypertension,Syndrome, Goldblatt
D007668 Kidney Body organ that filters blood for the secretion of URINE and that regulates ion concentrations. Kidneys
D008297 Male Males
D008875 Middle Aged An adult aged 45 - 64 years. Middle Age
D011704 Pyelonephritis Inflammation of the KIDNEY involving the renal parenchyma (the NEPHRONS); KIDNEY PELVIS; and KIDNEY CALICES. It is characterized by ABDOMINAL PAIN; FEVER; NAUSEA; VOMITING; and occasionally DIARRHEA. Necrotizing Pyelonephritis,Pyelonephritis, Acute Necrotizing,Pyelonephritides
D011865 Radioisotope Dilution Technique Method for assessing flow through a system by injection of a known quantity of radionuclide into the system and monitoring its concentration over time at a specific point in the system. D005921 Glomerulonephritis Inflammation of the renal glomeruli (KIDNEY GLOMERULUS) that can be classified by the type of glomerular injuries including antibody deposition, complement activation, cellular proliferation, and glomerulosclerosis. These structural and functional abnormalities usually lead to HEMATURIA; PROTEINURIA; HYPERTENSION; and RENAL INSUFFICIENCY. Bright Disease,Kidney Scarring,Glomerulonephritides,Scarring, Kidney
