Maternal herpetic breast infection: another hazard of neonatal herpes simplex. 1978

After the death of an eight-day-old breast-fed neonate with disseminated herpes simplex, the mother was found to have herpes simplex infections of both nipples. This complication of neonatal herpes infection does not appear to have been reported previously.
