Cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive in securing orbital implants. 1986

Butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (Histoacryl blue) tissue adhesive was used to secure orbital floor implants in the correction of superior sulcus deformities and blow-out fracture repairs and in one case of autogenous orbital roof bone plate. We have found this tissue adhesive to be a valuable substitute for wiring of orbital implants and have not seen general or local toxicity to the material.
