[Complex diagnosis of soft tissue tumors under ambulatory conditions]. 1986

E A Tsel'

In 1980-1982, 81 patients with malignant tumors of soft tissues of the extremities were examined at the Institute's polyclinic. Such procedures as X-ray, puncture biopsy, thermography and scintigraphy were used. A combination of X-ray and puncture biopsy allowed correct diagnosis in 95.6% of cases. Application of all available diagnostic procedures in all of patients would unjustifiably prolong preoperative examination.
