Artificial insemination of Angora- and Boergoats with deep-frozen semen. 1986

R Lawrenz

A total of 218 goats were inseminated with thawed frozen semen and a non-surgical intra-uterine insemination technique. Of the various groups inseminated the percentage Boergoat does kidding was 60.8% (46) and 70.9% (31), the percentage Angoragoat does kidding was 62.3% (53), 61.8% (68) and 60.0% (20). A dose of 75 X 10(6) sperm/ml was found to be suitable for intra-uterine insemination of Angora does.
