There are many drugs that may influence libido, erection, or ejaculation. In most cases, the sexual function is impaired, whereas enhancement is rarely seen. Such effects most likely occur in the course of treatment with drugs: interfering with the regulation of sexual hormones; exerting effects on central nervous mechanisms; influencing the autonomic nervous system; or causing changes of the peripheral blood flow.
