The significance of histo- and cytochemical enzyme investigations in the diagnosis of malignant Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHL) is evaluated. Histochemical enzyme methods complete the morphological diagnosis if some general principles of diagnostic histochemistry are observed. This is particularly true for the diagnosis of the hairy cell leukemia, the T-lymphoblastoma and the histiocytic reticulosarcoma.
