[Determination of chloramphenicol with electrochemical detection]. 1985

T Schmidt, and W Tomberg, and H Büning-Pfaue

The simple conditions of a reductive electrochemical detection are described, which allows to determine the content of chloramphenicol (CAP) in trout down to 0.5 micrograms/kg.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D002701 Chloramphenicol An antibiotic first isolated from cultures of Streptomyces venequelae in 1947 but now produced synthetically. It has a relatively simple structure and was the first broad-spectrum antibiotic to be discovered. It acts by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis and is mainly bacteriostatic. D004563 Electrochemistry The study of chemical changes resulting from electrical action and electrical activity resulting from chemical changes. Electrochemistries
D000818 Animals Unicellular or multicellular, heterotrophic organisms, that have sensation and the power of voluntary movement. Under the older five kingdom paradigm, Animalia was one of the kingdoms. Under the modern three domain model, Animalia represents one of the many groups in the domain EUKARYOTA. D014337 Trout Various fish of the family SALMONIDAE, usually smaller than salmon. They are mostly restricted to cool clear freshwater. Some are anadromous. They are highly regarded for their handsome colors, rich well-flavored flesh, and gameness as an angling fish. The genera Salvelinus, Salmo, and ONCORHYNCHUS have been introduced virtually throughout the world. Chars,Salvelinus,Char
