Effects of entopeduncular lesions upon treadmill locomotion in cats. 1985

Bilateral lesions were induced in the entopeduncular nuclei of eight treadmill-trained cats. The pre- and postoperative locomotor performances of these cats were then compared, with no notable differences being apparent. This finding is discussed in relation to phylogenetic differences in the neural control of locomotor behavior.
