Indomethacin in the treatment of ureteral colic. 1978

D E Holmlund, and J G Sjödin
Department of Surgery, University Hospital, Umeå, Sweden.

Based on a theoretical analysis of the genesis of ureteral colic, it was assumed that indomethacin, a potent prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor, ought to be useful in the treatment of patients with an obstructing ureteral stone. Experimental studies and clinical observations have verified this assumption.
