Studied was the passage of digested feed in the different portions of the digestive tract of sheep, and the time was fixed of retaining of the feed in them. It was demonstrated that the speed of passing of the feed mass in the various parts of the alimentary canal and through the whole tract was definitely affected the structure of the ration. Rations of more suitable structure were digested for a comparatively shorter time. At suitable structure the animals could have a bigger intake of dry matter which they could digest and utilize considerably better.
