[Standardised radiological investigation of the stomach with double contrast and fluorography (author's transl)]. 1979

R Seyss

The aims are presented and the technical equipment and application of different contrast media (barium sulphate and gas) are discussed. The steps of examination are divided into 5 phases. Thus, each part of the stomach is shown both by extreme filling and relief technique and by double contrast. The advantages and disadvantages of this technique are discussed. It is important to point out that the advantages of the double-contrast method could be fully realised only by fluorography.

D010779 Photofluorography The photography of images produced on a fluorescent screen by X-rays. Photofluorographies
D011829 Radiation Dosage The amount of radiation energy that is deposited in a unit mass of material, such as tissues of plants or animal. In RADIOTHERAPY, radiation dosage is expressed in gray units (Gy). In RADIOLOGIC HEALTH, the dosage is expressed by the product of absorbed dose (Gy) and quality factor (a function of linear energy transfer), and is called radiation dose equivalent in sievert units (Sv).
