[Topography of benign nonepithelial tumours of the stomach (author's transl)]. 1979

In a series of 500 unselected autopsy cases 23 myomas, 14 neurinomas and 5 lipomas of the stomach were met. Benign tumours are mainly localized in the corpus and fundus of the stomach.

D009442 Neurilemmoma A neoplasm that arises from SCHWANN CELLS of the cranial, peripheral, and autonomic nerves. Histologically, these tumors are encapsulated, highly vascular, and composed of a homogenous pattern of biphasic fusiform-shaped cells that may have a palisaded appearance.
