Left ventricular ejection fractions of 31 patients determined from first-pass or single-pass radionuclide angiography from the anterior position using a microcomputer system and floppy disc were compared to angiographic catheterization data obtained from the right anterior oblique position. This study demonstrated a good correlation with r = 0.91. To our knowledge, this is the first report of comparative first-pass left ventricular ejection fraction data and contrast angiography using a microcomputer system and a floppy disc.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D008838 Microcomputers Small computers using LSI (large-scale integration) microprocessor chips as the CPU (central processing unit) and semiconductor memories for compact, inexpensive storage of program instructions and data. They are smaller and less expensive than minicomputers and are usually built into a dedicated system where they are optimized for a particular application. "Microprocessor" may refer to just the CPU or the entire microcomputer. Computers, Personal,Microprocessors,Computer, Personal,Microcomputer,Microprocessor,Personal Computer,Personal Computers

D011187 Posture The position or physical attitude of the body. Postures
D011877 Radionuclide Imaging The production of an image obtained by cameras that detect the radioactive emissions of an injected radionuclide as it has distributed differentially throughout tissues in the body. The image obtained from a moving detector is called a scan, while the image obtained from a stationary camera device is called a scintiphotograph. D006352 Heart Ventricles The lower right and left chambers of the heart. The right ventricle pumps venous BLOOD into the LUNGS and the left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood into the systemic arterial circulation.
