The efficacy of praziquantel against Taenia saginata cysticercosis in naturally infected calves. 1979

M Walther, and J K Koske

The effect of Praziquantel on Taenia saginata cysticerci was investigated in a trial involving 80 calves from an endemic area in East Africa. When administered subcutaneously at a dose rate of 100 mg per kg of body weight Praziquantel killed all cysterci in all treated calves. A few cysticerci remained viable after a single subcutaneous infection at 50 mg/kg.
