An opinion survey of tuberculosis case-finding procedures. 1979

C W Wright

The number of new cases of tuberculosis officially reported each year does not necessarily reflect the true position in the Republic of South Africa. One of the factors contributing to this is defective case-finding, an area giving rise to great diversity of opinion. A survey of opinions on various means of case-finding and diagnosis reveals disagreement among tuberculosis physicians in South Africa.
