Transcatheter gelfoam embolization in intractable prostatic bleeding. 1979

The authors describe a case in which protracted bleeding after a transurethral prostatic resection could not be controlled with repeated fulguration and resection. Hemostasis was obtained with transcatheter arterial Gelfoam embolization of both hypogastric arteries.
