[Tonsillectomy and age (author's transl)]. 1977

We evaluated the case histories of 149 patients aged over fifty who were tonsillectoprived in our ENT-clinic in Freiburg between May 1970 and April 1975. Neither the rates of damages nor of complications were higher than those of younger patients. If necessary, even older patients can be operated.
