In vivo effect of cyclic nucleotides on velocity and chemotaxis of neutrophil granulocytes. 1977

J P Giroud, and M R Arveiller

Neutrophil granulocytes velocity and chemotaxis were obeserved by a direct method. Only chemotaxis could be inhibited by dibutyryl Cyclic AMP, this phenomenon could be reversed by cyclic GMP.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007962 Leukocytes White blood cells. These include granular leukocytes (BASOPHILS; EOSINOPHILS; and NEUTROPHILS) as well as non-granular leukocytes (LYMPHOCYTES and MONOCYTES). D006098 Granulocytes Leukocytes with abundant granules in the cytoplasm. They are divided into three groups according to the staining properties of the granules: neutrophilic, eosinophilic, and basophilic. Mature granulocytes are the NEUTROPHILS; EOSINOPHILS; and BASOPHILS. Granulocyte
D000818 Animals Unicellular or multicellular, heterotrophic organisms, that have sensation and the power of voluntary movement. Under the older five kingdom paradigm, Animalia was one of the kingdoms. Under the modern three domain model, Animalia represents one of the many groups in the domain EUKARYOTA.
