1,3-dicyclohexyl-5-alkyl-5-aminomethylbarbituric acids as potential antiinflammatory agents. 1977

H Sladowska

The synthesis and the structure of 1,3-dicyclohexyl-5-alkyl-5-aminomethylbarbituric acids, obtained by the Mannich reaction, are described. Some of the obtained compounds showed a strong antiinflammatory activity in biological tests.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D007202 Indicators and Reagents Substances used for the detection, identification, analysis, etc. of chemical, biological, or pathologic processes or conditions. Indicators are substances that change in physical appearance, e.g., color, at or approaching the endpoint of a chemical titration, e.g., on the passage between acidity and alkalinity. Reagents are substances used for the detection or determination of another substance by chemical or microscopical means, especially analysis. Types of reagents are precipitants, solvents, oxidizers, reducers, fluxes, and colorimetric reagents. D008352 Mannich Bases Ketonic amines prepared from the condensation of a ketone with formaldehyde and ammonia or a primary or secondary amine. A Mannich base can act as the equivalent of an alpha, beta unsaturated ketone in synthesis or can be reduced to form physiologically active amino alcohols. Mannich Base,Base, Mannich,Bases, Mannich
