M Gergely, and A E Urban, and P B Deverall, and G H Wooler, and J Mieszkowski

Acute cardiac herniation after a radical rightsided pneumonectomy occurred in a 69-year-old man. Approximately 40 cases from the literature are discussed. Early recognition and emergency treatment are essential for patient survival of what showed to be a preventable complication of lung resection.
