Cancer surveillance program in Los Angeles County. 1977

A system of rapid surveillance for cancer in the population of Los Angeles County was studied, and the methodology was compared with traditional population-based registries. Comparisons with the Third National Cancer Survey were also made, and the pattern of malignant melanoma occurrence in Los Angeles residents was described.
