[Audio-visual information on the post-partum ward (author's transl)]. 1980

S von Ritter, and D Neubüser, and P Bailer

About 70% of the maternity patients obtain their information from magazines. About 75% of the patients stated that they had sufficient knowledge of breast feeding and care for the newborn. But only 56% had sufficient information on the nutrition of infants. The preferred films had contents on the correct behaviour in pregnancy, on the recognition of hereditary disease and congenital anomalies during pregnancy and on the normal delivery. The maternity patients wanted to be informed by the physician on the above subjects. Cassette television has proven to be valuable but it not as much requested as other methods of information.
