Bypass of superior vena cava obstruction using spiral vein graft. 1983

This report describes successful palliation of the superior vena cava syndrome refractory to radiation therapy using a spiral vein graft. The availability of a successful vena cava bypass operation mandates reconsideration of the relative roles of surgery and radiation therapy in the management of this debilitating condition.
