[Hematological studies of pigs vaccinated against Aujeszky's disease]. 1980

V Dobrev, and A Motovski, and K Bogoslovov, and S Peshev

Hematological investigations within a period of six months were carried out on 4 groups of pigs vaccinated with different doses of living Aujeszky MK-25 vaccine. The pigs from groups I and II were vaccinated with a normal dose of 2 cm3, the pigs from group III--with 10 doses, whereas those from group IV--with a hundredfold dose. A clearly pronounced immunohemolytic anemia was proved, accompanied by leucocytopenia with an increased percentage of segmental-nuclear leucocytes and monocytes during the period of immunity build-up with pigs vaccinated with a high dose of vaccine (from groups III and IV). In the case of vaccination with increased doses a strongly pronounced immunogenic process was observed.
