Intradermal skin wound closure in guinea pigs. 1983

This study compares the use of polyglycolic acid suture and nylon suture for closure of skin incisions of the oral and maxillofacial region. Clinical appearances, wound breaking strengths, and inflammatory responses were compared. Using these criteria, polyglycolic acid appears to be superior to nylon.
