[Transcutaneous electrostimulation and its place in the treatment of chronic pain syndromes]. 1984

In 107 patients with chronic pain syndromes, transcutaneous electrostimulation by an apparatus ELIMAN -101 was used in conjunction with drug treatment and physiotherapy. On the basis of a complex of estimation tests, the patients studied were divided into three groups depending on the degree of the analgesic effect. A good analgesic response was obtained in 65.4% of the patients, satisfactory in 28.1%, unsatisfactory in 6.5%. It is considered advisable to include the method of transcutaneous electrostimulation into the regimen of the treatment for chronic pain syndromes.
