[Renal transplantation and therapy of chronic renal insufficiency]. 1983

The treatment of end-stage renal disease in children must be directed, not only to get a greatest survival, but essentially to obtain a full bio-psycho-social rehabilitation. Kidney Transplantation is the only method able to obtain this aim. It will be conditioned by a good integral treatment from early renal failure period. In this sense, a National Plan for Paediatric Nephrology has been established.
