Coronary artery spasm: clinical experience and implications. 1983

R Ginsburg

Although coronary vasospasm may occur in vessels that arteriographically appear fully patent, histologically there is virtually always some evidence of atherosclerotic lesions. Whether or not atherosclerosis can be angiographically documented, all patients with coronary vasospasm require therapy. Calcium channel blockers may actually alter the course of the disease process as well as relieve symptoms.

D004562 Electrocardiography Recording of the moment-to-moment electromotive forces of the HEART as projected onto various sites on the body's surface, delineated as a scalar function of time. The recording is monitored by a tracing on slow moving chart paper or by observing it on a cardioscope, which is a CATHODE RAY TUBE DISPLAY. 12-Lead ECG,12-Lead EKG,12-Lead Electrocardiography,Cardiography,ECG,EKG,Electrocardiogram,Electrocardiograph,12 Lead ECG,12 Lead EKG,12 Lead Electrocardiography,12-Lead ECGs,12-Lead EKGs,12-Lead Electrocardiographies,Cardiographies,ECG, 12-Lead,EKG, 12-Lead,Electrocardiograms,Electrocardiographies, 12-Lead,Electrocardiographs,Electrocardiography, 12-Lead

D000788 Angina Pectoris, Variant A clinical syndrome characterized by the development of CHEST PAIN at rest with concomitant transient ST segment elevation in the ELECTROCARDIOGRAM, but with preserved exercise capacity. Prinzmetal Angina,Prinzmetal's Angina,Angina, Prinzmetal,Angina, Prinzmetal's,Prinzmetals Angina,Variant Angina Pectoris
D001145 Arrhythmias, Cardiac Any disturbances of the normal rhythmic beating of the heart or MYOCARDIAL CONTRACTION. Cardiac arrhythmias can be classified by the abnormalities in HEART RATE, disorders of electrical impulse generation, or impulse conduction. D001161 Arteriosclerosis Thickening and loss of elasticity of the walls of ARTERIES of all sizes. There are many forms classified by the types of lesions and arteries involved, such as ATHEROSCLEROSIS with fatty lesions in the ARTERIAL INTIMA of medium and large muscular arteries. Arterioscleroses
D017023 Coronary Angiography Radiography of the vascular system of the heart muscle after injection of a contrast medium. Angiography, Coronary,Angiographies, Coronary,Coronary Angiographies
