UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D002239 Carbohydrate Metabolism, Inborn Errors Dysfunctions of CARBOHYDRATE METABOLISM resulting from inborn genetic mutations that are inherited or acquired in utero. Carbohydrate Metabolism, Inborn Error
D005633 Fructose Intolerance An autosomal recessive fructose metabolism disorder due to deficient fructose-1-phosphate aldolase (EC 2.1.2.13) activity, resulting in accumulation of fructose-1-phosphate. The accumulated fructose-1-phosphate inhibits glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis, causing severe hypoglycemia following ingestion of fructose. Prolonged fructose ingestion in infants leads ultimately to hepatic failure and death. Patients develop a strong distaste for sweet food, and avoid a chronic course of the disease by remaining on a fructose- and sucrose-free diet. D014280 Triglycerides An ester formed from GLYCEROL and three fatty acid groups. Triacylglycerol,Triacylglycerols,Triglyceride
D014527 Uric Acid An oxidation product, via XANTHINE OXIDASE, of oxypurines such as XANTHINE and HYPOXANTHINE. It is the final oxidation product of purine catabolism in humans and primates, whereas in most other mammals URATE OXIDASE further oxidizes it to ALLANTOIN. 2,6,8-Trihydroxypurine,Ammonium Acid Urate,Monosodium Urate,Monosodium Urate Monohydrate,Potassium Urate,Sodium Acid Urate,Sodium Acid Urate Monohydrate,Sodium Urate,Sodium Urate Monohydrate,Trioxopurine,Urate,Acid Urate, Ammonium,Acid Urate, Sodium,Acid, Uric,Monohydrate, Monosodium Urate,Monohydrate, Sodium Urate,Urate Monohydrate, Monosodium,Urate Monohydrate, Sodium,Urate, Ammonium Acid,Urate, Monosodium,Urate, Potassium,Urate, Sodium,Urate, Sodium Acid
