D-3-Dodecanoyltetradecanoic acid has been separated from the lipid A of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis and its structure has been established by chromato-mass-spectrometry and 13C NMR spectroscopy, by comparison with authentic samples.

UI MeSH Term Description Entries
D008050 Lipid A Lipid A is the biologically active component of lipopolysaccharides. It shows strong endotoxic activity and exhibits immunogenic properties.
D008070 Lipopolysaccharides Lipid-containing polysaccharides which are endotoxins and important group-specific antigens. They are often derived from the cell wall of gram-negative bacteria and induce immunoglobulin secretion. The lipopolysaccharide molecule consists of three parts: LIPID A, core polysaccharide, and O-specific chains (O ANTIGENS). When derived from Escherichia coli, lipopolysaccharides serve as polyclonal B-cell mitogens commonly used in laboratory immunology. (From Dorland, 28th ed) Lipopolysaccharide,Lipoglycans

D009227 Myristic Acids 14-carbon saturated monocarboxylic acids. Tetradecanoic Acids,Acids, Myristic,Acids, Tetradecanoic
D011135 Polysaccharides, Bacterial Polysaccharides found in bacteria and in capsules thereof. Bacterial Polysaccharides
D015007 Yersinia A genus of gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic rod- to coccobacillus-shaped bacteria that occurs in a broad spectrum of habitats.
