[Age characteristics of DNA replication in regenerating rat liver]. 1978

M Iu Obolenskaia, and E L Levitskiĭ

Incorporation of a label into double-stranded DNA as well as transformation of newly formed one-stranded DNA into the double-stranded DNA occurred slower in aged animals, as compared with adult ones, within the period of the most intensive DNA synthesis after partial hepatectomy. Dynamic characteristics of replication appear to alter with ageing.
