Abducting and adducting transcondylar fractures of the humerus have not been described in literature since they are very rare (5%). The article analyzes specific features of such fractures, methods of reposition and immobilization, gives recommendations for the repair of functions of the injured extremity. The author believes that for the successful treatment of fractures in question it is necessary to take into consideration the character of fractures, localization of periosteal connection between fragments and other specific features of each fracture.
