Eosinophilic granuloma of bone was first described as a specific disease entity in 1940. It is now encompassed in the triad of diseases known as the histiocytosis-X diseases. Manifesting itself usually within a single bone, eosinophilic granuloma of bone is a benign entity which readily lends itself to cure by surgical curettage, low-dosage irradiation, or a combination of the two. This report contains a review of the subject matter, a concise historical and literature review, and a presentation of two cases manifesting multiple bone involvement and requiring multiple procedures to obtain a cure.
