[Postoperative acute necrotizing enteritis]. 1978

V Cristian, and P Lissai, and C Marosin

The authors present a case of acute necrotizing enteritis, occuring after anexectomy and drainage that had been performed for ruptured pyosalpinx. There was difficulty in the macroscopic assessement of the lesions, and this made necessary resection of over 2 m of ileon. The diagnosis was established by histologic examination. Operatory recovery was obtained, in contrast with unfavourable results mentioned in the literature.
