Autopsies at Goroka hospital from 1978-1982: a review. 1982

A review is given of 353 autopsies conducted at Goroka Hospital and nearby villages between April 1978 and April 1982. A total of 97 deaths (27.5%) resulted from motor vehicle accidents. Autopsies on patients dying in hospital are difficult to obtain but are worth the effort involved.
