[Angiodysplasia of the right colon. Angiographic findings in 10 cases (author's transl)]. 1980

B Menanteau, and M Amselle, and F Bonnet, and A Ducreux, and B Sénécail

The authors report on 10 cases of angiodysplasia of the right colon, diagnosed by superior mesenteric arteriography. The angiographic diagnosis is based on the following findings: abnormal clusters of small arteries, intense opacification of the bowel wall, early and intense opacification of the veins persisting late into the venous phase. The lesions were located in the cecum in 7 cases and in the ascending colon in 3 cases. Histologically, they are dilated submucosal veins and arteries.
