[Demonstration of a subpopulation of T-lymphocytes by a monoclonal lymphocytotoxic antibody produced by cellular hybridization in slightly developed rheumatoid arthritis]. 1981

P Mercier, and R Dallest, and P Garborit, and C Blachère, and H Roux

The lymphocytes from 20 cases of mild rheumatoid arthritis have been explored thanks to a monoclonal antibody found in a murine hybridoma of specificity I-E/Ck, "cross-reacting" with the human molecules HLA-DR+. A slight increase in the lymphocyte subpopulation T-DR+ is found, representing 25.15% versus 18.5% of the lymphocytes T isolated by rosettes in the normal subject. These cells correspond to a subpopulation of T lymphocytes whose immunologic function remains to be defined.

D008875 Middle Aged An adult aged 45 - 64 years. Middle Age
D011817 Rabbits A burrowing plant-eating mammal with hind limbs that are longer than its fore limbs. It belongs to the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, and in contrast to hares, possesses 22 instead of 24 pairs of chromosomes. D006680 HLA Antigens Antigens determined by leukocyte loci found on chromosome 6, the major histocompatibility loci in humans. They are polypeptides or glycoproteins found on most nucleated cells and platelets, determine tissue types for transplantation, and are associated with certain diseases. D000818 Animals Unicellular or multicellular, heterotrophic organisms, that have sensation and the power of voluntary movement. Under the older five kingdom paradigm, Animalia was one of the kingdoms. Under the modern three domain model, Animalia represents one of the many groups in the domain EUKARYOTA. D001172 Arthritis, Rheumatoid A chronic systemic disease, primarily of the joints, marked by inflammatory changes in the synovial membranes and articular structures, widespread fibrinoid degeneration of the collagen fibers in mesenchymal tissues, and by atrophy and rarefaction of bony structures. Etiology is unknown, but autoimmune mechanisms have been implicated. Rheumatoid Arthritis
D001402 B-Lymphocytes Lymphoid cells concerned with humoral immunity. They are short-lived cells resembling bursa-derived lymphocytes of birds in their production of immunoglobulin upon appropriate stimulation.
