Pulmonary nocardiosis. A report of eight cases. 1980

Eight cases of pulmonary nocardiosis are reported. Nocardia species were isolated and identified in five cases while the aetiological agents could not be isolated in three cases. Four isolates were identified as N. asteroides and one as N. brasilienisis. Candida infection was associated in three cases. Six cases were found in the 40-60 year age group while two patients were children.
