This medium-sized community hospital has initiated a cardiac rehabilitation program that encompasses the psychosocial as well as the physical well-being of the patient. The three-phase plan involves regular physical examinations, educational counseling for patients and families, and individualized inpatient and outpatient exercise regimens.
