Stripping associated with sclerotherapy. 1982

J Hardillier

A few decades ago, the main treatment of principal varices was, for phlebologists, sclerotherapy only, and, for surgeons, extensive surgery only. These two extremes were, of course, excessive, but then may have seemed perfectly justified. This is no longer at all the case, and the association of the two is in order. We give a synoptic synthesis of the two methods in the interest of the patient. After a brief account of the usual method, we describe an original technique most often used in our treatment of leg ulcers.
