[The consequences of long term demographic changes (author's transl)]. 1981

W Maier

The economic and power systems are dependent on the number of people as much in a hunter and gatherer society as in a highly industrialized society. The disregard for elemental demographic changes threatens to make the number of people to a problem. The family and society are not dichotomy. There are no separate economic spheres of living. Production, consumption, hygiene, number of children, and raising of children as much as economic technological development occur in a single socialsphere. The work distribution between men and women is dependent on demographic changes. Changing structures of populations have changes in the reproductive behaviour as a consequence. A pre-requisite to recognize the abover facts is cognitive capability.
