[Leiomyosarcoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses (author's transl)]. 1981

H J Richter, and W Steinert, and B Mahn, and H M Niemczyk

A case of leiomyosarcoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is reported and the literature involving this rare tumor is reported. Differential diagnosis, symptoms, pathogenesis and therapy are discussed. To date, radical surgery seems to be the only chance for survival, even for small tumors. In contrast, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are not sufficient therapeutic approaches.
